With Christmas literally just a few weeks away, I decided to create a few gift guide articles where the focus is on helping out those who are on the lookout for gifts for their loved ones. And for this guide, I’d like to focus on the SSDs, which gamers should really invest on since SSDs really beef up the loading time in PCs and that’s really important for the more competitive games.

So to help ease out the decisions, here’s a few of the SSDs I’d like to recommend.

Western Digital WD Green 240GB

WD has been one of the more famous memory modules here Inthe country. And their first ever foray into the SSD territory with the WD Green performing decently especially with the price point.

While not the best choice in the list, if you can’t really afford to just add a few hundreds to get better options then Western Digital WD Green is a decent choice.

Right now it’s hard to find the SSD in stores but Lazada is a good choice if you’re looking for this to your build.

The next choice when it comes to SSDs is the Kinston A400 SSD. Known for its really solid products and not just it’s gaming line, the Kingston A400 is a solid offering from Kingston.

While the more expensive of the three, The Transcend 240GB SSD 220s provides a solid option for those who are looking for the SSD that could.

While not the fastest SSD out there, but it delivers what is expected from it.

Plus the SSD also comes with a 3 year warranty so that’s pretty much a good deal since you can expect decent after sales service.

SanDisk Extreme PRO 32GB UHS-I SDHC Memory Card

The SanDisk brand has been one of the go to names when it comes to SD memory for cameras. Being able to capture Full HD, 3D, and 4K Videos as well as RAW and burst photography. The Extreme Pro is a solid choice for those who want to get their pics done and done without the fear of losing them due to weather or other outside forces.

The SD Card guarantees a minimum write speed of up to 30MB/s and can support write speeds that are up to 95MB.

Currently it’s only Kingston who has a higher capacity when it comes to the SD Cards at the market. This is especially important if you’recapturing videos since they take up more space in your SD Cards.

Transcend 64GB SDHC SD Memory Card for Cameras

And for the last in the SD Card category, we have Transcend’s 64GB SD Memory card. It’s rated as SDHC Class 10 UHS-1 400x or pretty much premium just like the others. It supports Ultra high speed class 1 and allows for a smooth Full HD video recording.

Ideal for digital cameras and camcorder, the memory card has a reported 60 MB/s transfer rate max.

Moving on towards the most important memory your loved one will need, the microSD. And first up would be Kingston’s 64GB Canvas Select microSD.

The last, of course not the least, we have Transcend’s 64GB microSDHC microSD offering. While this microSD has nothing to write home about,this microSD is solid enough to be a good alternative if the previous two models aren’t available.
