Start Date and Participating Teams for The Nationals Esports League Released

All lights are green for the first ever franchise-based esports league in the country as the start date for The Nationals has been announced and the first participating teams have been released.

Starting March 17, Teams from Bren Epro (by Bernard Chong), Cignal Ultra (by Jane Basas), Suha (by Jobe Nkemakolam), Happy Feet Emperors (by Kevin Chung), STI (by Mhel Garrido), and PLDT Smart (by Andrew Santos) will be competing in Dota 2, Tekken 7, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for two conferences each (which basically means for a season since there will be two conferences per season).

With the start of The Nationals, we are taking a significant step in achieving the maturity and accountability needed for our players to mature and be more competitive. The Nationals can provide stability, exposure, and opportunity for raw talents – of which we have aplenty – so that they can be harnessed to their full potential

According to The Nationals Commissioner, Ren Vitug.

You can catch the kick off this March 17 at EGG Channel on Cignal TV and 5 Plus in ESPN5.
