For those looking forward to the November release of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will have to be disappointed because the release date of the game has been moved to January 19 of next year.
The reason for the release push was due to more game development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to fans, according to LEVEL-5 CEO and President Akihiro Hino. He details other reasons in a special message video that was released on all Bandai Namco Media platforms which you can see below.
The video also clarified some other game features most especially the supposed multiplayer features for the game which was as Hino put it, a misunderstanding and that the game won’t actually have multiplayer.
Normally, push backs on release dates set a bad precedent for games. I’m not worried for Ni no Kuni II, cause, well it’s not an American company, and the game dev mentality is different, plus the name of LEVEL-5, and seeing the quality of the games they have released in the past.
So here’s to hoping a more complete experience for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom for next year! For more info, you can check Ni no Kuni’s official website or it’s official fanpage.
