Stardew Valley Invades the Board Game Space

Just when you thought they had stopped, they come back with more! Stardew Valley now has a board game.

Posted on their official website, ConcernedApe shared that the Stardew Valley board game is now available for purchase. It is a 1-4 player co-op farming game, where they work together to tend to the farm for a whole year, protecting the town from Joja Corporation taking over.

For more than 2 and a half years I’ve been working together with board game designer Cole Medeiros to make a board game that captures the essence of Stardew Valley. It has pretty much everything from the video game: villagers, crops, animals, fishing, foraging, mining and more. We worked hard to make a board game we think is really fun to play and to look at. I hope you enjoy it!

Time is tracked through the Season deck where each card says what happens each week. The cards show Events, and weather for that particular week, which the players can use to discuss their actions for that turn. They can go fishing, mining, or tend to the animals and plants. But this isn’t all there is to the game, you can upgrade your tools, gain more proficiency in skills, or make friends which will give players bonus effects for the rest of the game.

The game is currently being sold on their store at $55, which includes the board, cards, pawns, and tiles needed to fully enjoy the game. As of this article, it is currently sold out, but you can still place your order to pre-order when they restock!
