ASUS Republic of Gamers announced that renowned overclocker safedisk set 15 Global First Place scores with ROG‘s Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard with the latest AMD architecture. The Crosshair VIII Dark Hero was paired with 3 CPUs from the Zen 3 lineup, namely the Ryzen 5800X, 5900X, and 5950X, to break records for the 8-core, 12-core and 16-core segments, respectively. The tests used were Cinebench R15 and R20, Geekbench 3 and 4, and a couple of processor-intensive benchmark applications. On top of this, safedisk set a new world record for a single-core process in Geekbench 4.
What’s mind-blowing is safedisk was able to break the 6 GHz barrier multiple times during his testing, including a record-breaking 6,075 MHz on all 16-cores of the 5950X using GPUPI 3.2 1B, and easily hitting 6 GHz on the same benchmark on a single core. Safedisk was able to take advantage of the ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero‘s excellent power delivery and high-quality components.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what safedisk accomplished,
* Scores were all recorded internally but will be submitted to HWBot within 24 hours. ** All scores were tracked at approximately 2020-11-05 15:00 GMT.
