realme has been consistent in bringing the best bang for your buck entry level smartphones with their C series phones. And it seems like realme has yet again hits this one over the ballpark with the realme C67.
What’s in the box
Typical to what realme offers, you have the realme staples as well with the C67.
You are basically given what you would need out of the box which is more than you would want most especially if you’re looking for a complete package for your entry level phone.
Design
Moving on to the realme C67‘s design. There is an emphasis on a sleek and minimal look.
Nature-inspired Design
The realme C67 comes in two nature-inspired colors: “Sunny Oasis” (green) and “Black Rock” (black). The back is made with a special coating process that creates subtle stripes depending on the light, giving it a unique and dynamic look. The camera module meanwhile features stylish gold rings around the lenses. The overall design is streamlined with the aim to make it look more modern.
Thin and Light
Despite its features, the C67 is incredibly thin and light, measuring just 7.59mm thick and weighing only 185 grams. It’s comfortable to hold thanks to its ergonomic design, with rounded corners and a seamless display integration. Plus, it’s IP54 rated, meaning it’s resistant to dust and water splashes.
Performance
The realme C67 boasts both impressive power efficiency and smooth performance.
Multitasking Maestro: Juggling multiple apps? No sweat! The powerful CPU ensures smooth and seamless multitasking, whether you’re switching between social media, editing photos, or catching up on emails. It’s like having an octopus for a processor, effortlessly handling all your tasks at once.
Powering the Stars: This efficient processor isn’t just about saving battery. It fuels all the amazing features packed into the C67, including the impressive 108MP camera, the intuitive realme UI, the convenient Mini Capsule 2.0, and more. It’s like the brain of the phone, coordinating everything to deliver a smooth and powerful experience.
Next-Gen User Experience: Stepping into the future? The C67 comes with realme UI, the next generation interface based on Android 14. Specifically designed for C Series smartphones, it’s optimized for user-friendliness and tailored to your needs. It’s like having a personal assistant built into your phone, making everything easier and more intuitive.
Remember, technical specs tell only part of the story. What truly matters is how the phone performs in real-world scenarios. With its impressive power efficiency, smooth multitasking, and dedicated gaming capabilities, the realme C67 seems like a strong contender for the title of “performance champion” in its price range.
Screen
On paper, the realme C67‘s expansive 6.72-inch IPS LCD display should provide butter-smooth performance thanks to a lightning-fast 90Hz refresh rate. This is obviously experienced whenever you are watching videos even at 720p resolution.
Also, C67 boasts a remarkable 180Hz touch sampling rate, meaning every tap and swipe registers instantly with pinpoint accuracy.
The display stuns with vibrant colors and sharp details thanks to its FHD+ resolution of 1080×2400. I was actually able to Immerse myself in the movies and games I’ve played. The sleek, minimal bezels surrounding the display contribute to an impressive 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, maximizing the viewing area and minimizing distractions.
Battery
With a battery of about 5000 mAh the C67 is designed to survive daily regular usage. Think social media browsing, emails, music streaming, and some light gaming – it held its own admirably. It was able to stay on into the next morning.
On heavy usage (meaning heavy gaming and media usage) however, you may need to use the included 33W SUPERVOOC Charging adapter and the type A to type C USB Cable.
While hardcore gamers or intensive content creators might need a top-up during the day, for everyday users, the C67 offers reliable, day-long performance. This lets you focus on what you love without constantly searching for a charger, a major plus in my book.
Gaming Experience
Of course moving on to the C67‘s gaming capabilities. realme boasts that the C67 can be used for casual play. It clearly wasn’t meant for this kind of usage. Visual slowdown is pretty obvious even while playing on non-intensive mobile games. During the review, I’ve tested the phone’s gaming capabilities with games like Honkai Star Rail, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Call of Duty: Mobile and of course, Pokemon Trading Card Game Online.
As expected, I was only able to play the heavier graphics games at low settings, which is understadable. In fact, the slowdown also is seen with PTCGO while of course clearly isn’t that optimized, it shouldn’t be slowing down on higher end phones.
Camera
The realme C67 throws its hat in the ring of budget camera phones, boasting impressive features for its price tag.
The highlight is the Samsung HM6 sensor, known for sucking in light like a black hole (in a good way!). This translates to well-lit, clear photos even when the sun dips low. Daytime snaps? No problem. Capture everyday moments in crisp 12MP detail using the standard photo mode.
The 3x In-Sensor Zoom lets you zoom in without sacrificing quality, both in standard and portrait modes. This means 3x lossless close-ups of your dog’s goofy grin or your friend’s epic skateboarding trick – memories preserved in sharp detail.
There is a dedicated 108MP Mode. This captures photos in their full 108MP glory, giving you incredible detail for zooming in and cropping later. Perfect for capturing landscapes or anything where you want to savor every pixel.
The realme C67 isn’t just for basic snaps. Get creative with Street Mode, which captures the energy of movement, or Tilt-Shift, which shrinks the world into a miniature wonderland. Feeling like a videographer? Shoot captivating videos from different angles with Dual-View Video mode.
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) works its magic to smoothen out both photos and videos, ensuring your memories are free from unwanted blur.
Verdict
The realme C67 packs a punch when it comes to camera features, offering clear, detailed photos even in low light, impressive zoom capabilities, and creative options for budding photographers and videographers. All this at a budget-friendly price. While it might not compete with flagship cameras, it’s a solid choice for everyday users who want to capture life’s moments but still enjoy some light gaming without breaking the bank.
The C67 costs ₱9,999 for it’s 8GB+128GB variant, while the 8GB+256GB configuration costs ₱10,999. You can purchase the smart phone at realme’s TikTok, Shopee, or Lazada Shop. While you can grab this at your nearest realme Store.
