Canon has launched the new imagePROGRAF TM Series, a range of large format printers designed to meet the diverse printing needs of corporate offices, site engineering offices, print shops, and more. The new TM Series comprises single function and multi-function printers, offering a variety of options to suit different printing requirements.
Superior Print Speed for Enhanced Productivity
Powered by the new L-COA PRO II image processing engine, the imagePROGRAF TM Series printers boast rapid activation from sleep mode and exceptional productivity for printing drawings and posters. This advanced engine accelerates data processing times, enabling continuous printing. For TM-5350/5355 models, printing speeds reach up to approximately 3.2 sheets of drawing prints per minute, marking a 28% increase compared to conventional models.
Streamlined Printing Workflow with Efficient Applications
The free Direct Print Plus print application facilitates the batch processing of urgent print jobs, enabling users to send files of various formats to the printers using a simple drag-and-drop interface. Additionally, the PosterArtist web application empowers users to create customized posters and flyers by selecting from a wide range of templates.
Exceptional Print Quality for Vivid Results
The newly designed image processing engine faithfully reproduces colors in deep and vivid tones. Equipped with newly developed magenta ink for enhanced red color development, the imagePROGRAF TM Series printers deliver sharp lines and texts in CAD drawings and posters, even when printed on plain paper.
Furthermore, the use of all-color pigment ink ensures that posters and layouts retain their vibrant colors over time. Borderless printing capabilities for roll paper eliminate the need for post-printing trimming, further streamlining the printing process. With color calibration enabled, variations in output color are corrected, resulting in consistent and high-quality prints.
User-Friendly Design for Easy Operation
All models in the imagePROGRAF TM Series feature a new flat top design that simplifies daily operations. Roll paper can be easily loaded by placing it on top of the printer, attaching roll holders, and sliding it along a guide, reducing the need for additional tables and saving space.
Paper type detection expedites paper loading, reducing labor costs. An enhanced printer panel provides clear visibility of paper types, remaining roll paper estimates, and ink levels. Additionally, operating noise during printing has been significantly reduced, with the TM-5240/5340 models operating at approximately 39dB, about a third of the noise level of conventional models.
Environmentally Conscious Packaging
In a commitment to environmental responsibility, the imagePROGRAF TM Series printers are the first Canon large format inkjet printers to utilize cardboard product packaging instead of Styrofoam.
