ASUS Announces New Laptops Powered by 4th Generation AMD Ryzen Processors

ASUS recently announced their new lineup of consumer and gaming laptops powered by AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile Processors. The AMD Ryzen 4000 Series makes it possible to double the cores with higher IPC, higher clocks, faster memory and better power efficiency thanks to its 7nm architecture.

ASUS and AMD join forces to introduce much slimmer, more power-efficient laptops with AMD‘s Zen 2 architecture. From consumer laptops for the student with a strict budget to content creators and gamers who needs power on the go, ASUS brings a wide range of choices suited for a number of uses.

We expect these units to make their debut around May 2020.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14

Headlining the release is the ROG Zephyrus G14, which we saw in CES and a refresh of the ROG Zephyrus G15. The AMD Ryzen 4000HS series CPUs have 8 cores that’s based on the Zen 2’s 7nm architecture, which means you won’t have to sacrifice power with portability. Both laptops can be configured with up to NVIDIA RTX 2060, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage to run the latest AAA titles on-the-go. Internal benchmarks show that the G14 can last up to 10.7 hours of video playback and up to 9.5 hours when browsing the web. If that’s not good enough for you, then you’ll be happy to know that the G14 has a USB-C port that’s PD-capable, meaning you can charge your other devices via the G14’s USB-C port.

The ROG Zephyrus G14 is fitted with a 14″ IPS-level display with 100% sRGB color coverage that’s Pantone Validated, giving content creators the ability to trust their color grading while giving gamers a stutter-free gaming experience with its 120Hz refresh rate.

You can get the Zephyrus G14 in either Moonlight Silver or Eclipse Gray and the lid has a minimalist ROG plaque at the bottom-left, giving the laptop a sleek and professional look. It can also be outfitted with an optional AniMe Matrix LED lid which gives users the ability to flash custom text/graphics or animation on the lid of the G14. The AniMe Matrix is powered by 1,215 mini-LEDs that offers a new way to express your creativity.

ASUS ROG Zephryus G15 (GA502)

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This may be the case with the G15, but ASUS improved it even further. You can now configure the G15 with up to the latest AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and RTX 2060. Coming in at 19.9mm thin and 2.1kg, this 15″ gaming laptop delivers one of the most immersive gaming experiences out there with its 240Hz panel and Pantone Validated IPS display.

ASUS TUF Gaming A15/A17

Providing budget-conscious gamers with the best bang-for-their-buck, ASUS brings forward the TUF Gaming A15/A17 laptops. These may be entry-level laptops, but ASUS made sure that it’s something that’ll give you your money’s worth. The TUF Gaming laptops meet MIL-STD-810H standards, making sure they can withstand heavy use for longer periods of time.

The TUF Gaming A15/A17 comes redesigned giving it a 7-8% smaller footprint compared to the previous generation. You can configure both of them with up to the latest Ryzen 9 CPU and up to an NVIDIA RTX 2060. The TUF Gaming laptop is perfect for those looking for the perfect balance of an all-round laptop with the capability of playing games. It also has a new look with its laser-engraved TUF Gaming logo and an overhauled chassis that improves cooling and gives it increased ruggedness. It also adds a new USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port which supports DisplayPort 1.4 to give you more flexibility when using external monitors. The screen also has slimmer bezels while keeping the camera on top. ASUS VivoBook S14 (M433)

If you’re not planning to game on your laptop and just need it for all around productivity work, the VivoBook S14 is a perfect match for your budget and is stylish to boot. Comes in 4 vivid colors, the S14 allows you to express your personality through your laptop. The VivoBook S14 comes in Bespoke Black, Sunglow Red, Dreamy White and the newest in the lineup, the Gaia Green. ASUS also partnered with world-renowned high-fidelity audio company harman/kardon to produce high-quality audio right out of the box. There’s also a built-in AudioWizard that gives users 5 tuning presets to optimize the laptop’s settings based on any kind of audio.
