Teamfight Tactics iOS Pre-registrations Now Open!

Teamfight Tactics iOS Pre-registrations Now Open!

For those who are living under a rock (or have been playing way too much TFT *cough* like me *cough*) Riot Games SEA has announced that the pre-registration for iOS for Teamfight Tactics Mobile is now up.

Yes that’s right, after last month’s announcement of TFT Mobile pre-registration has opened up for Android users Apple users from Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region can now pre-register on their iphones, or ipads.

The current pre-registration rewards we’re getting are fifty Star Shards and we’ll get fifty more once we hit 1,000,000 pre-registrations. While the numbers seem a bit steep, we’ll be getting whatever we can before the official mobile launch. You can check out the progress here.

What is TFT?

For those who are unfamiliar with Teamfight Tactics (or TFT), is an autobattler: a round-based PvP game where you’ll draft a team that battles automatically on your behalf.

According to the League of Legends site, TFT borrows from many of the concepts you know and love about other strategy games, like drafting from a shared pool of resources, team building, economy management, and positioning.

Here’s how it works: Individuals face off in 1-on-1 matches until only one player remains. You win by drafting the best team of champions from a shared pool, equipping them with powerful items, managing your gold income to buy out the competition, and positioning your team in winning battle formations. There are unlimited winning strategies, so you’ll have to adapt to different situations in every game to come out on top.

You can actually check out their video about the game below:

TFT Sets

Every game of TFT takes place in the Convergence, and centers around a specific theme and story called a set. Every few months TFT introduces you to a new universe with new champions, traits, and characters to play. In terms of gameplay, new sets also come with a new Ranked ladder to climb, new team compositions, and new item possibilities.

I’ve been personally playing the game more than usual league of ARAM and it’s a nice distraction whenever I’m writing or doing articles on the side.

Me and other TFT players expected that since we’re finally getting TFT Mobile once Riot finally got hold of the APAC servers. However, it was announced during the migration that TFT won’t be getting the mobile treatment YET. That is why when it was announced last month that TFT Mobile is finally going to be available for us here we were all ecstatic.

The wait continues however, since the Apple announcement did not include the date yet for the Mobile release so we as the rest of the APAC region wait on baited breathe when the servers open.

So fingers crossed.
