One of the most tedious things I have to figure out on is how to get my pins for Steam and League of Legends. I don’t really appreciate the big cut Datablitz gets when you purchase Steam Credits from them so I’d rather just get it from Steam themselves. Meanwhile it’s pretty hard to look for stores that actually see Garena cards in my area now, and since I like my champs in League shiny, there will be times that I’d want to just load my account and get my RPs to purchase skins.
It seems at GCash has offered a nice alternative for me when it comes to this little inconvenience with their new system so that you can now load your GCash through your bank accounts and them from there you can conveniently purchase pins for Steam and Garena.
I actually got to test this feature myself when I tried to cash-in from my Union Bank Online account and it didn’t take long for me to process the transfer from there.
The transaction didn’t take long though since I did this at around 12:53 P.M. so it’s pretty much smooth sailing from there.
Currently, this process is open to around 30 banks which are namely:
- Bank of the Philippine Islands
- BDO
- Metrobank
- Landbank of the Philippines
- Security Bank Corporation
- Unionbank of the Philippines
- Philippine National Bank
- China Banking Corporation
- East West Bank
- RCBC
- UCPB
- PS Bank
- AUB
- PBCom
- DBP
- Bank of Commerce
- China Bank Savings
- CTBC Bank
- Dungganon Bank
- Equicom
- ISLA Bank
- Malayan Bank Savings
- Maybank
- Omnipay
- Partner Rural Bank (Cotabato)
- Paymaya
- Philippine Business Bank
- Philippinen Trust Company
- Philippine Veterans Bank
- PNB Savings Bank
- RCBC Savings Bank
- Robinsons Bank Corporation
- Sterling Bank of Asia
- Sun Savings Bank
- UCPB Savings Bank
- Yuanta Savings Bank
Though at this moment I can’t verify the effectivity of the connection of the other banks since I clearly don’t have accounts in all of them (I’d be stinking rich if that happened). What’s more, transferring funds is for free with GCash.
