ASUS ROG’s First Gaming PC Case, Strix Helios, Hits the Market

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced their first gaming PC case, the ROG Strix Helios. Designed from the ground up to accommodate ROG components, the Strix Helios is sure to make the short list for any ROG enthusiast. The new gaming case can be pre-ordered immediately in selected regions and will be available worldwide shortly.

The Strix Helios is designed for those who want to create a gaming rig that will stand out in any crowd. It has three 4mm-thick, smoked, tempered-glass panels fitted in a brushed-aluminum frame, plus a display of Aura RGB lighting integrated into the front panel. The LEDs can be customized individually with a palette of millions of colors and a range of preset effects – all easily synced with the Aura Sync hardware ecosystem to augment the build.

The Strix Helios has the option for dual vertical GPU mounting in addition to the standard horizontal orientation for gamers who want additional flair. The case also comes with fabric handles that are rigorously tested to support up to 50 kg for comfortable transportation, making for easy transport to LAN parties or if you want to show it off at competitions.

The Strix Helios has been designed with flexible covers and a comprehensive cable-management system not only keeping the interior clean and tidy but could also improve airflow within the case. An adjustable multifunction cover with GPU braces cleverly hides cabling, provides sturdy support to graphics cards and allows for an SSD or ROG Aura Terminal to be mounted for display. There’s also a two-piece PSU shroud with a front cut-out to enable compatibility with ROG Thor or other OLED-integrated power supplies. In the back, a translucent cable cover conceals unsightly wiring while allowing illuminations from RGB devices to shine through.

Building with and maintaining a Strix Helios is also made simple. Release buttons at the rear of the chassis allows builders to swing down the side panels for instant, tool-less access to the interior. The panels are bottom-hinged and will remain supported at an angle until they’re ready to be completely detached. The case also comes with fan and radiator mounts, and removable filters on the top, front, and underside for all-around dust protection.

The Strix Helios can accommodate up to an EATX motherboard. With support for up to 420mm front and 360mm top radiators, with room to spare, there is also space reserved for installing a water-cooling pump and reservoir.

The case also features an advanced I/O panel loaded with connectivity and fast controls, including a reversible USB 3.1 Type-C™ port and dedicated controls for fan speed and RGB lighting.

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios will be available starting April 12, 2019, and will be priced at 16,800 php.
