For those who haven’t been on top of the latest VALORANT news, Riot Games has released the 2.0 bundle for their Japanese themed Oni Bundle.
The Oni 2.0 Bundle, priced at 7,100 VP (around semi-completes the Oni skin line with the addition of Oni skins for the Vandal, Bulldog, Ares, Frenzy, and another melee weapon. Whereas the previous Oni skin’s for the Phantom, Guardian, Bucky, shorty, and the oni claw for melee.
Lead cosmetics producer, Preeti Khanolkar shares that the Oni line was in production for almost two years and player feedback from https://eloboss.net/valorant-boosting they went back to the skin line.
By expanding on the skinline, the team felt like they could really push the fantasy in a way we didn’t get to in 2020 with the original Oni skins. This time around, Oni has custom firing audio, so you’ll hear it’s ghostly corrupting echos even more. The team also went all-in to create a brand-new katana that was completely different from RGX. Onimaru Kunitsuna, the Oni Katana, really comes to life when you inspect the blade and see that you are the Oni.
Meanwhile, cosmetics producer, Laura Baltzer, shares that a few of the challenges faced by the team during the development phase is to be able to distinguish the difference between the Vandal and the Phantom form in first-person. The team also had to go through a lot of audio iterations to get the firing audio just right.
The Oni 2.0 Bundle is now out at the store along with the release of the new Battle Pass and agent, Gekko.
