Ragnarok X: Next Generation, or ROX as it’s more commonly referred to, is Gravity’s latest incarnation of the beloved RO MMO Franchise. With the Closed Beta Test almost ending I have compiled what I think are the most important things to know about the game. So here are my 5 Tips for Ragnarok X: Next Generation.
Tip #1: Don’t neglect the life classes
As I mentioned earlier, Life skills are a new feature to arrive with Ragnarok X. Currently in the Closed Beta there are Fishing, Mining, Gardening, Cooking, and Smelting. Crafting is only available to the Merchant class. This makes 3 gathering types and 3 crafting types. Why are they important? for one thing, some quests require them, and the other items needed are usually in the higher levels, and they take a while to level up, especially the crafting skills.
The other reason it’s important is that the craftable equipment requires ingredient only craftable from these skills. The earlier you start leveling these skills, the easier it will be on you in the long run.
Tip #2: Focus on 1 or 2 life classes
Taking into account what I said earlier. Life Classes consume stamina which can only be gathered at around 2200 per day. So I recommend you pick 1 life class, 2 at most. This will make it easier to level it up quickly. Sell any items you don’t need, and buy the materials from other life classes at the exchange center. It’s like how a professional chef doesn’t usually practice farming and cattle rearing but instead lets others focus on it and purchases from them.
Tip #3: Do your Daily missions board first
Daily mission boards are important not just for the amount of exp they give, but also because they provide Odin’s Blessing. Odin’s blessing is the exp multiplier of ROX. Killing mobs subtracts from your blessing points in exchange for multiplied EXP, drop rates, Zeny, and Stamina. So in short Daily mission helps you get the multiplier for mob grinding, which helps gather Stamina for Life Class leveling.
Tip #4: Mob Grind with a Party
The game has a party system, and to incentivize using it, they have put exp bonuses when you party up. You gain a 140% exp multiplier when in a full party, and extra bonuses if you’re all different classes. So make sure to make a full stacked party w/ different job classes to fully maximize your Odin’s Blessing multiplier.
Tip #5: Check Odin’s Blessing window for the best exp farming spots.
Not many people know this, but the Odin’s Blessing button on the upper portion of the screen. You should see a button on the bottom portion of the window that gives recommendations of where you can farm. It shows you the levels, and monsters they recommend you farm at.
