Asian Board Games Festival Debuts in the Philippines This May 2026

Free-to-enter tabletop gaming event brings over 200 games and 30 Asian publishers to Pasig

The Asian Board Games Festival is officially making its Philippine debut, bringing a massive celebration of tabletop gaming to local fans on May 2–3, 2026 at the Bayanihan Center.

A Growing Movement for Asian Tabletop Games

Originally launched in Singapore in 2019, ABGF has grown into a regional movement that spotlights Asian board game creators—and now, Filipino players finally get to experience it firsthand.

As the global tabletop gaming industry continues to expand—projected to surpass by 2030—Asian creators are stepping into the spotlight.

The festival, founded by Daryl Chow of Origame, aims to highlight regional talent and give Asian-designed games the recognition they deserve.

When you come to ABGF, you feel part of a community,

Chow shared.

You don’t just buy games—you connect with the people who create them.

A Milestone for the Philippine Gaming Scene

The Philippines becomes the fourth country to host ABGF, following Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The local edition is co-organized by Origame and Larong Atin, further strengthening the country’s presence in the regional tabletop scene.

As more players seek meaningful, offline experiences, events like ABGF highlight the power of board games to bring people together.
