The Two Things I Really Liked About the ROG Phone

I’ve had the opportunity to have a short time with the ASUS ROG Phone a few weeks before ESGS 2018 and I must say that the initial experience had me piqued with the phone even if I’m not a heavy mobile phone game type of guy (MAYBE Ragnarok M Eternal Love would change me, but then that’s for another post).

Among the features and gizmos the phone has, I would say that there are two things that really stood out for me from the phone which are namely:

Side Charging Ports

One of the more awkward things I never really liked with the current design of gaming smartphones is the normal position of the charging/data port for the units.

ROG Phone Back with the fan

I wasn’t able to take the pics of the side port (sorry guys mb) but it’s situated snugly in the middle of the unit. So you can basically have the phone charging while gaming without the difficulty of trying to adjust how you handle the phone.

Air Triggers

This phone feature is mostly meant to help PUBG Mobile or ROS players, the ROG Phone has Air Triggers where you can program the phone to recognize as buttons in a game. This means that you don’t have to buy those attachments anymore since the phone itself has them. While it takes time to get used to, it’s one of those nifty features that you can’t find in any of the recent phones right now.

So if you want to check out the phone and still have time, you may want to head out to Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit today, but it’s only for today.
