Niantic Announces No Plans for Pokemon Go Outside of Select Countries for Now

Stop the presses! To finally dispell all the rumors of Pokemon Go being released in the Philippines by some sites either by tom. or on July 27. Niantic finally announced through their agency fortyseven.com that they have no announcement of plans for countries outside New Zealand, Australia, Germany and US.

In an email sent to IGN SEA, the email reads as:

“The team is currently heads down working on the game. We do not have any announced plans for countries beyond New Zealand, Australia, US and Germany at the moment.”

This officially quashes all those sites that I will not link here saying the game will reach our shores on certain dates. So please stop spreading rumors about Pokemon Go coming to the PH on certain dates (On a personal note: I refuse to post the link to those sites).

So for the meantime we’ll just have to twiddle our thumbs and be the good patient kids that we are (no, not really) and wait for Pokemon Go to come to the Philippines.

Update 07/16/2016: Pokemon Go is being released in other countries in the European region as of July 16, 2016
