GearBox introduced a Borderlands 3 patch, optimizing DirectX12 performance and unlocking exciting Radeon features to provide the best possible gaming experience as gamers loot’n’shoot their way across Pandora and beyond. Vault hunters can also now scheme their way through Bloody Harvest, a seasonal and free event running until December 5.

For this new patch, cementing DirectX12 as the default API for Borderlands 3 on AMD Radeon hardware, GearBox worked with AMD to ensure Radeon gamers get the most of the API, including incredible competitive performance, breathtaking visuals and features, including;

  • AMD FidelityFX – Providing a dynamic sharpening filter that increases detail in low-contrast areas for sharper gaming experiences, it provides significantly improved in image clarity to counteract softening caused by other post-process effects.
  • Asynchronous Compute – GPU multi-threading allowing Radeon GPUs to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, enabling efficient graphics and visual effects workload distribution for faster framerates and higher visual fidelity.

As you may know, AMD is sweetening the deal for Radeon gamers with the Radeon Raise the Game bundle. Until December 31, gamers who purchase a Radeon RX 5700 Series, RX 590, RX 580, RX 570 and select Radeon-powered desktops and laptops can receive a complimentary copy of either Borderlands 3 or Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, along with three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC access.
