Power Man & Iron Fist Issue #1 Review

I’ve always had a liking towards this duo, who were formerly known as the ‘Heroes for Hire’. The Heroes for Hire were heroes that could be paid to take down baddies that’s been bothering their clients. Luke Cage was subjected to experiments that gave him superhuman strength and durability. Daniel Rand earned the power of the Iron Fist in the mystical city of K’un Lun. As an adult he oversees the Rand Corporation and goes as Iron Fist: kung fu defender of the innocent. The Story So Far: Darth Vader Comics

What makes Darth Vader so great? Is it the aura of pure menace & terror? Origin? Great character design? For me, and I think many more agree on this, it’s all of the above. Darth Vader is a true badass, a personification of evil, the nightmare of the Rebels, devil of the stars. Yet, the original trilogy don’t show a lot of what I boast. Star Wars: Darth Vader Issue #15 Vader Down Part 6 Review

I was close to…something. And now I’ll never know. Like all good things, this crossover must come to an end. Remembering Alderaan and its destruction, Leia risks losing an opportunity to free the galaxy and instead comes to save her friends. Deodato illustrates the visually pleasing fights, especially the conflict between Vader & Karbin. Aaron depicts the confusion and intensity of every battle quite well. Not only do the fine lines of the sides in battle blur, but ghosts of the past make their presence much more felt.…

Star Wars: Darth Vader issue #14 Vader Down Part 4 Review

Don’t worry. Two on one. We can handle this. I hope. Just as things seem to get better for the others, it’s not the same for Leia. She’s only saved when a distraction provides itself for Vader. Leia, with the knowledge that Vader would come back for her, sets up a trap for him, which may risk his life. As Luke, Han, & Chewie leave the defeated Aphra to help Leia out, their ship is hit by Krrsantan’s ship, a Wookie bounty hunter, who appears to have been hired by…
