Ubisoft Will Open Philippine Office

During a gathering today, Ubisoft announced that it will be opening a Philippine office sometime next year. As reported by The Fanboy SEO, Reimaru Files and Back2Gaming (who was on site).

Olivier de Rotalier, managing director of Ubisoft Philippines who was present during the press meeting was quoted saying:

It’s a country with young people who are very, very connected. They’re social media experienced, and that’s very important for us. They’re very connected and tech savvy. For the game we’re building, to be able to incorporate that innovation is very important

The upcoming Philippine office is reported to be working closely with Ubisoft Singapore and will be based at Sta. Rosa Laguna. The office will also be open to applicants.

As reported by Reimaru files:

Up to 50 talents are expected to be hired and will collaborate with other Ubisoft studios such as Ubisoft Singapore in creating AAA games. Interested talents with backgrounds in game development and design who wished to join Ubisoft can apply by emailing [email protected]

Hopefully we get to see more companies who’ll take the same steps as Ubisoft on this one. So let’s wait and see.
